Welcome to the Lulubee Sketchbook
Lulubee designs for American Cancer Society!

As much as I obsess over designing for invitation and logos, I love it when I get an opportunity to donate my talent for a good cause.  Earlier this year, I helped design the team logo for Cycle for Survival, a national indoor cycling event that raised over $31.5 million dollars for rare cancer research since 2007.  It felt really good to see my work being displayed at such an important event.

This week, my friend Jen who’s a corporate account executive for Equinox asked to see if I could help out with invitations for American Cancer Society’s “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer ” event.  Not only did I design the invitation for the kick-off event, I also ended up joining the committee too!

On Thursday, August 22nd, we’ll be having the “Fighting Cancer with Fashion” kick-off event for American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.  Join us at Equinox West Los Angeles and support a great cause!

Freebie: Printable Father’s Day Card

My parents are currently vacationing in Korea right now and I must admit I’m a little sad that I won’t be spending Father’s Day with my dad this year. Luckily we’ll be spending the day with Dad B (my father-in-law) and I’m looking forward to a great day of family festivities.

Father’s Day is coming up this weekend and we’re giving away two free printable cards. Wouldn’t it be such a sweet way to show your dad how amazing you think he is?

Matt & Tara: Style Me Pretty Feature!

I’m SO excited to share this beautiful wedding with you! Designed by Galas by Gerry and captured by Lane Dittoe, this rustic elegant ranch wedding is every kind of pretty you can imagine!

I’m always so honored and flattered when my friends ask me to design invitations for their wedding, the day that is filled with so much love and happiness. It gets even more magical when the bride has an impeccable sense of design, and that’s exactly what happened when I worked with my dear friends Matt and Tara for their wedding. The invitations were printed on 100% cotton ivory stock, and we added an 1 inch burlap ribbon and navy backer behind it. We then tied “M&T” tags and completed the invitation set by wrapping navy twine ribbons around it. Matt and Tara, your wedding day was beyond perfect and thank you again for letting me be a part of it all!

You are my Home: Green Wedding Shoes Feature!

What I love the most about my job is that I get to collaborate with so many talented people. So when Jess from Linen, Lace & Love approached me to design stationery pieces for this styled shoot, I jumped at the opportunity. Themed “You Are My Home”, this was a photography workshop put on by the amazingly talented  Brooke Aliceon Photography, and I had a blast collaborating with so many incredible vendors.

We used lots of bright colors and geometric angles in our design elements for a soft tribal look- so romantic yet eclectic!

Announcing the Lulubee Design website launch!

Aaaand it’s official!! Lulubee Design website launch is finally here after months of brainstorming, designing, redesigning and waiting for it to all come together! If I could possibly scream and give you hugs through your computer right now, I don’t even think that could express how happy and delighted I am as I welcome you to my new Lulubee Design website!

A little about myself…

Ever since I was a little girl, I have always been artistic and crafty (even winning the title of “most artistic” during my high school senior year, thank you very much). I studied design/media arts at UCLA, then moved onto Art Center College of Design to major in advertising design.  I worked as an art director for various advertising/marketing agencies in Los Angeles for six years, and as much as I loved this creative and fast-paced industry, I wasn’t loving the endless late night hours and weekends in the office, especially during business pitches.  My life changed while I was planning my wedding in 2011, when I realized how much I loved combining my passion for design with one of the most intimate, happiest days of my life. About a year ago, I finally made a decision to start my own branding and stationery design studio, and I’m confident that this was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. On our first wedding anniversary, December 11, 2012, I made the announcement of the Lulubee Design brand launch, and today I am here to happily announce my full website!

A big shout out goes out to Cathy Olson of Love -Inspired for developing my beautiful website. Thanks for listening patiently and collaborating with me over these last four months. You were an absolute joy to work with and I cannot thank you enough for all that you’ve done for me!

The launch of Lulubee Design would also not have been possible without the encouragement and support from my husband Geoff, who is my best friend and the love of my life. Without your encouragement, I don’t think I could have ever made the leap to get out of corporate America to start my own business. I love you more everyday and cannot wait to see where the Lulubee Design brand takes us!

And last but not least, thank you family and friends for being my biggest cheerleaders. You guys inspire me in every way and I’m so grateful to have you all in my life. Cheers to family, friends and to Lulubee Design!
